I got the feeling Ive outgrown my 3x9 32 leapers, although shes served well, I think I need to go bigger. What are you guys running these days? Some pics would be awesome, its been dead around here lately. Dont worry about the old scope its going on my 114.
I dont know whats happening but I cant post pics.
I replaced a Leapers 3-9x 32 with a 4-12x40 Bushy Banner on my Disco and like it a lot. Much brighter sight picture with thin reticle lines. Changing out the plastic trigger with the brass one from Byron & Associates really made it sweet.
I have recently came to the point where I need a scope for shooting. My eyes are not as well as they used to and extended shooting gets my eyes tired fast with iron sights.
Up until now most of my scopes have been the 3x9 veriety from tasco, bushmell effect from the 80s or the cheap scopes that come with rifles. I been looking for a scope for my discovery. Cant stand the factory sights. After many many Internet reviewing. I went with the Hawke airmax ev with map 6 reticle. Ilike it so far. The ballistic software is proving to be very helpful. Still playing with that. Its a 4x12 with adjustable objective. New to this style of scope. I followed the directions for set up and zero at 30 yards. Then entered my data for pellet, velocity effect and it tells you the yardage for the 5 chevrons. Change pellet weight no problem software tells you the changes.
I checked out many scopes. I was on a tight budget. This rifle and scope will see pampered use
the glass is very clear for its price point crosshairs are crisp. I would have liked a side adjustable objective but found to many negatives about the few in my price range. I also have a fixed leapers 4x on my crosman 1400. For under 60 bucks its been great for back yard plinking
