Could someone tell me what are the thread size for the degassing port? They appear to be fine threads. I want to make my own power adjuster but don't have the right screw size on hand. Thanks.

Do we really need to purchase a (DEGASSING TOOL). Can't we simply just shoot the pressure off and save the money?

For $1.60 from the hardware store, I was able to make my own power adjuster and even shim the trigger group with small washers. This even includes a 3.5 inch screw with parts to spare that can serve as a degasser that only cost me 60 cents. To answer why, it is much faster to use the tool than to keep cocking the bolt and pulling the trigger to switch to co2.
