I do not know if there is a generator for the importexport.properties file.
I played around with the different settings which are inline documented in the file and got it to work. I retrieved all the HSS based user and provisioning data into an csv-file and was successfully able to restore them (luck, our system admin did a mistake and I retrieved the data just some hours ago). Therefore I think do use it as a simple backup routine for HSS' users and provisioning. For that purpose I will develop a shell script calling the CSS utility on a schedulded base. What do you think?
What I found out was that the inline documentation was more detailed than the documentation shipped with the installation binaries and the -outdated- document from our consultant.
If you like you can send me your importexport.properties file and I can compare it with mine. Please explain which parts of the file you think need to be dynamically generated because using some echo-commands within a shellscript can easily be used to create different importexport.properties files for different purposes (backup all, backup some, verify all, restore ... HSS data).
