report script to display parent-child into two separate columns

Hi there,

is there someway to use report script to product report which display parent-child relationship from a dimension into two separate two columns side-by-side ?

e.g

REGION-* and LOCATION-* are from the same dimension

QTY
REGION-A LOCATION-A1 0
REGION-A LOCATION-A2 5
REGION-A LOCATION-A3 7
REGION-B LOCATION-B1 1
REGION-B LOCATION-B2 9

I've read from several thread with suggestion to use outline extractor tool, or vb script. but I want to explore more with report script because it will be an automation process..
