Essbase clustering requires both sites have a shared filesystem which means you need to have very fast disk -- this assumes they are using clustering as documented in the EPM High Availability Guide; see Chapter 5 of

I suggest you ask to interview other customers where they have implemented this as clustering can be a more challenging setup, more difficult to maintain, and it may not really your potential business problem appropriately.
