Oops - sorry. You clearly stated that you were not using SS and I went on rambling about SS. (I am knee deep in a project converting to SS so I think everything is about SS.) So you are authenticating against an external source but you are not using SS? I dont have experience with that (and I wasnt even sure you were allowed to do that in 9.3.1.)
