If the data & outline are the same then look at your hardware. The time difference is so great I would look at disk and contention from other applications. With regards to disk, a local array will be many times faster than SAN. If both are local, you will see a big performance difference between 8k RPM and 10k. If it is not hardware look at contention from other applications. Not too long ago with a nightly job running 30 minutes on some nights and hours on others. Apparently SAP & Essbase were using the same NetApp filer. While SAP was doing nightly maintenance, Essbase was waiting.

Are either of the systems VM'd?
