I don't have any examples because it was a few years ago but I had done this. I set up a SQL database and downloaded daily bank transactions from multiple banks, over 50 different accounts and 3 or 4 credit lines.
All the data was then loaded to an Essbase cube for analysis. We were able to determine some really good stuff from it, especially for the credit lines where we were able to forecast what our needs were going to be and how much we would be able to pay back each month. I was able to save the company $50K - $60K a month at the time by determining how much money we could put into LIBOR loans (at time their rate was much lower than the wet line) for short periods of time.
I think Essbase is under utilized for Treasury and could offer a lot of benefit.
