How is the office 2007 compatibility with Hyperion 9.3.1 and 9.2.0.2 ? Has anyone heard any complaints?

I have excel 7.1 installed on my client's PC now. Would migrating to 9.2/9.3 of Excel be an issue when
a) being used right now?
b) when we move to office 2007?

Excel 2007/9.3.1.3 works for me

Beyond the pain that is Office 2007, that is. All that ribbons have done for me is steal away my productivity. As most 2003 keystrokes work, it has been a boon to exercising my memory.

Otherwise, all is well wrt to Essbase 9.3.1 and Excel 2007.

The Essbase add-in menu now appears on the Add-ins ribbon. To access the add-in menu,s hit Alt-x-s. SmartView is Alt-x-y.

I've heard of problems with service patch 3. The 9.3.1.3 Essbase client release resolves these problems.

Yes, on XP SP3 there is a (now well-documented) bug which causes a crash on zoom-in. Occurs on both Excel 2007 and Excel 2003, I think.

That extra keypress for shortcuts due to the ribbon is a nuisance. At least Alt / X / S are close together - you can sort of do it in one movement!

I do faced some issues when migrated to 2007. Please see to it that the version of your excel add-in is also upgraded which is compatible with 2007.

You shall be facing weird errors otherwise.
