We are using Hyperion 9.3.1 and hitting the IE8 compatibility issue. We find that bindows can offer the solution, http://mb.bindows.net/news/hyperion_ie8.html. Does anyone has successfully implement the solution?

I was in the same situation, and discovered that for our implementation/product mix, there was really only one issue with Hyperion and IE8, and that was a syntax error in a two line javascript function that can be fixed in notepad in about ten seconds. Obviously the change management process adds a week to that, but the actual effort to fix the issue was nill.
The great John Booth helped me out, check out his blog posting on this subject here:
The other option is to install 9.3.3, but we decided the javascript fix was less risky than patching all products, and would consume fewer resources. We were also planning an upgrade to 11.1.2 at the time.

Yes. We have hesitation to upgrade to 9.3.3 and don't want to take the risk.
We also just have a try and the trick works perfectly.
BTW, it seems that you have production environment having applied the trick. What sorts of Hyperion products you are using and do you experience any problem so far?
We use the following Hyperion 9.3.1.x Products
Shared Services
Essbase
EAS
APS
Smart View
Planning
Workspace
Financial Reporting

Hi, we are using BINDOWS patch and it is working fine. It works with IE8 and Firefox.
