We are facing a strange issue with Hyperion Plannign webform.
In Essbase, account named HeadCount is having the value 5
When i retreive using excel addin, it still shows the value 5
When i use the HeadCount account in any calc, it still uses the value 5
when i show the headcount in planning webform it shows 5 in a particular cell..
***PROBLEM ---> WHEN I CLICK THE CELL IN PLANNING WEBFORM, ITS SHOWING 4.999999999
account property is non-currency
planning webform precison in display section is Min=0 and MAx=0
Pls advice why its happening like this? is it a bug???

If you pull that cell in Excel, what kind of number formatting are you using? If you change the cell formatting to general, I'll bet you see the 4.9999999 value.

Thanks Cameron for your reply..
John Goodwin found this article in oracle knowledge database..

Note that rounding only affects cells that are not currently selected. If you click in a cell in a Planning data form you are shown the actual value that will be submitted to Essbase when you save. So your value of 33.33 will appear as 33.33333333333333 again. There is no way to disable this behavior. “

FYI - this can have an interesting effect on input form data validations in Hyperion Planning. Let's say you're checking to see if a column of percentages adds up to 100%. Even in situations where everything adds up to 100%, the validation can fail due to floating point decimal issues.
The solution is to alter the validation so that you're not checking for " = 100", but rather checking for " > 99.99999" AND " < 100.00001".
