Thanks Glenn, so it's just a regular FX "tube" ? how was it adapted to fit into the AS valve? It looks very neat, I'd like something like it, if possible.

I figured it would just be a matter of time until we'd see the project done and this one does not disappoint. A lot of people are anxiously awaiting news on whether this kind of mod is possible, and then how to do it. Although I personally enjoy the convenience of CO2, it does limit one to shooting in warm seasons and this could be a very convenient alternate for the off-season. I can't wait to see a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this with a parts list. Thanks for posting this one. By the way, approximately how many full power shots can be expected per fill?

In fact this would be a PCP. You'd be looking at getting a hand pump, large 4500 psi Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass tank (44,66 or 88 Cubic Foot) or the old 3300 psi Aluminum Scuba Tank setup. Some examples: http://www.pomona-airguns.com/PCP%20Accessories.htm
They are going to come out with the 1250 Walther Dominator next year so we might have an off the shelf solution that screws in where the valve goes.
This would be great but with limited shots at 30 with a higher fps. I am looking for getting several hundred shots at between say 800 and 850 fps in .22 with HPA regulated to 1350 psi or CO2 which Roald has broken the 800 barrier in .22 just recently!!

Hi! I am interested if you can tell us what kind of hammer spring did you used! How much bigger?
In past (few years ago), I had a Crosman 2250B in .22 caliber. I changed the hammer spring whit a new one (9mm diameter and 1,5mm the wire). I enlarged the transfer port and the valve chamber, I changed the power plant (compressed air instead CO2) and at 140 bar I got 245m/s (805fps) with 1.03g (16grains) pellet. The key was a larger transfer port and a stronger hammer spring!
Thank you in advance!

thanks that makes things easy, if i could just ask where you got the adaptor that fits into the valve?
also does this mean that the fx bottles just screw into the adaptor making it easy to change bottles?
the reason i ask all theses questions is i use mine for hunting and co2 as we al know is rubbish in cold weather so having the benefit of small fx air bottles would be the best option.
many thanks for your help
cheers
