I bought an 850 .22 in late November, but have been inactive for several months and just getting back to working with it. It's still stock, so nothing you haven't already seen, but I've taken some photos and will learn how to post.

I wanted to thank you for all of your experimentation on refilling airsource cylinders--and all of your other forum activities. After seeing your posts, I began using a 9oz paintball tank with the B&A adapter. It worked well, but I do most of my shooting freestanding and thought it would be better to get back to the 88g and foreend grip for better balance. Plus, I wanted to learn how to refill. Following your tutorial and comments, I started using the B&A adapator with the on/off valve. So far, I'm using a 12oz PB tank and it seems to be working well. (my empty 88g airsource weight with B&A refill adaptor (B) attached is 1lb. Filling it only adds 1.5 oz. Is that about right?) Have fired about 100 shots so far and no drop in fps.

The 9oz PB tank is now on my Crosman 2250XT and providing many more shots as well as a shoulder stock, although that needs some improvement for shooting comfort.

I have also found other helpful information here on the forum. I recently made two silent pellet traps, using as a guide the ideas, comments, and photos found here. They ain't very pretty!! But they do the job. One uses duct seal and the other, larger one, uses a tractor trailer mud flap, a real trial and error project. But I ended up with a 24" wide trap that holds a variety of targets.

Operating this forum must be a real job. I appreciate the time and effort you Pelleteer, VPilot, BBiggun and others put into it, as well as your many modification projects. Even while I was inactive I looked in on the fourm to see what was happening and really had the feeling that there was a community of interest here, and enjoyed reading the posts and comments and looking at the photos. So, again, many thanks for all of your work on behalf of 850 users.

Photos to follow as soon as I learn how.
Bob

Bob, you are too kind, thank you Sir.
Truth is it's the contributions from everyone who comes here that has made this site what it has become.
It's true too that there is a truly good bunch of folks that hang out here.
I think the fact that we try to share everything we learn kind of sets us apart from some of the other places?
I hope that you continue to enjoy your 850 and stopping by here.
Roald.
