Hello,
I should like to attach picatinny/weaver rails to the 850 so that I can attach a sling and bipod( don't like the barrel mounted bipod). I have a stock 850-- what's the best way to do this?

Ideally I would like to attach the sling studs about half way through the detachable foreend. However if I attach the rail in the forend I am worried that as soon as I put a lot of pressure on the sling and tighten it, the forend will pull down on the barrel. What's the best way around this?

I have seen pictures of the 850/ 1250 with what looks like 3/4 slots picatinny/ weaver rails attached to them. How does one do this?

Thanks for your help,
Roy

This is the picture I was referring to-- I remembered having seen it in this forum, or one of the links listed here, but couldn't remember exactly where! Good, now I have heard from the owner. Thanks for the help and I shall get some rails and sling mounts right away! Got any bipod recommendations?
Thanks,
Roy
