I know this just sounds like some stupid joke, but I really WILL be in Kansas this weekend. I found out this morning about 30 minutes after I got to work,"Dan, we need you to leave for Witchita Kansas on Wednesday and stay until maybe Saturday". I about fell off of my chair when I read this, it's too funny, but not funny "haha".
I actually was there about 2 weeks ago for another field trip and now I am going back for more of the same. Unfortunately I wont be able to send any pellets downrange, I'll be tied up at work for the whole time....again, not joking.....the last time I went I worked on the second day until sundown and then drove a rental car back to the shop at Alliance where I arrived at about 3a.m.. This time I'm leaving from Alliance around 1p.m., but I am driving a U-Haul full of equipment, so I wont get to Witchita till 7:30 or so, then hotel check-in, then dinner and sleep. Two solid days of work, and then hopefully drive back Saturday. How did I ever let the company talk me into taking a salary instead of staying hourly?
