  • Roadkill-saw large animal on 37 north of Bloomington

      My wife and I and our two college age children saw a large
      charcoal black animal, dead on Hwy. 37 in an area of road construction. It had fur that appeared to be 2-4 inches, thick and uniform.As it lay on the road, the body height was at least 14-20 inches. We guessed it was 3-4 ft long. This was seen from a moving vehicle ( 4-door pick-up truck)

      QUESTION- was this a bear-cub or an unusual dog or something else.
      We are from Florida and were passing through. Wonder if any local news reports might have covered this strange roadkill!
