LOL

by Jim Keegan

I've hit a mental block with several pages left to fill. If the BF activity heats up maybe some pics and notes can get added soon.

I am also going to make the Indiana Map interactive using "Flash" when I get around to it, and add other outside online features.

But the skeleton and nav is up so the hard parts out of the way.

Hey Steve, about Deam wilderness!

by D.A.R.

Did you come across anything in Deam last month?
I am caver and sailor, I have been in Deam many times looking for a cave(found it). I become interested in this website when they had that sighting last year, close to Deam. I was sailing on Lake Monroe last weekend( Big ass storm!) and looking for another cave in Deam. We took the "Voir Trye"(boat) up to the mouth of saddle creek, and set up camp. Late at night, we heard two loud sounds, that sounded like alot of air coming out of a small hose, or the sound a bull makes before charging. But, it was'nt a bull, and was to loud to be a deer! It was kind of creepy.

What if someone set a snare, using a wire cable, and hanging the bait high enough, where only something on two legs could reach? I know its a little extreme, but we are talking about finding a bigfoot. Any comments???

That's my 2 cents.

I am going into the Deam wilderness 'scouting' this coming weekend....anyone else interested??

This will be slow, measures travel, looking for evidence in likely areas, I mean SLOW, due to the heat..

Looking forward to seeing you....will take tape recorder, night vision, weapon, etc.

Will be there most of Sat, Sat nite, and leave Sun afternoon. Like I say, just a 'scouting' trip.

Close to Kankakee River in Starke County, IN - Summer 2001

by

Rented a house for a few months near Robbins Ditch. The house is just below a hill covered with trees. Our dog seemed more than nervous and dug a deep hole in between the doghouse and the tree ( where the doghouse sits). We put up a clothes line by the doghouse. There were no limbs hanging until the next day. The limbs looked bowed and I couldn't put clothes to dry because of the limb bowed in the way.

One evening I drove on the way home on one of our roads and saw eyes reflecting from my head lights, the heighth of a grizzly bear standing on two legs in a wooded area to my right and then I saw what I thought looked like a small monkey (with thick limbs) running across the road!

Another evening we came home from church and my family went into the house. I had to get a few things out of the car and I was whistling a lively gospel song. Out of the woods I heard a loud shrilled whistle ---as if whatever wanted to communicate back but I just ran quickly into the house

general information about bigfoot

by

walt and staff, I have e-mailed twice and thus far have received no reply; after e-mailing Mary at Tennessee Bigfoot Lady, I have checked my woods, and have tree bows, and twisted tree limbs, and pyramids; these may or may not be from bigfoot activity; no foot prints or scat or I don't know how to read the ground yet; how do I become a member of The Indiana Bigfoot Society, and can someone show me what to look for ? Please e-mail me back as soon as possible; thank you Elizabeth

by

I dont believe it is a sloth bear, sloth bears are formost found in India and there main diet is insects,I know so far this animal has been eating some kind of a rodent. The witness said the animal had an ape like appearence to me a sloth bear still looks like a bear.At this point I dont believe anyone knows for sure what was seen in that area.

I seriously doubt it...

by Randy Hutchings

It may be some feral exotic, having been released at sometime in the past (then again it could very well be a Sasquatch just as likely), but a sloth bear???...They're pretty slow animals (and no I'm not refering to the Amazonian or central American Sloths either)...It seems to me that if this was a Sloth Bear then it would have been seen better or caught...Course, mabey I'm wrong...

Go here and You can find out some more info on them...

I just got home from the sighting location I was able to talk with the witness,Mr Deckard who explained what he saw.I was able to gather some feces very near where the animal had left a track. The tracks where in bad shape by the time I saw them I was unable to really tell what made them. The feces was a very large pile and it has a lot of hair in it.

Monroe Co sighting

by John

As you may know, there have been some sightings in the area of Hardin Ridge Campground, Hoosier National Forrest. There have been many sightings in this area, the remotest place in the state. The paper said the tracks that were found had 4 toes with claws. My understanding is that Bigfoot has 5 toes. In 1980 or 81, a TV show called PM Magazine did a segment on a sighting in the same area. A man driving down a country road saw something cross the road. There are some reports on this website from the area. If this latest incident is just a hoax, its a real good one.
