Hi,

I am working on some parenting and understanding of autism with a family, can you recommend any reading that would not scare a parent away, easy reading for example.

Thanks

Hi there!
I really would appreciate any advice from you. My son is now almost 16 years old. With a lot of help he has got 5 passes from the GCSE examination, which is considered as high school graduation here in Hong Kong. However his academic result is not so satisfactory as the school will give him a place in the lower six which may be equivalent to grade 11 in Ontario. Therefore, I am looking for some educational opportunity for him in Canada, preferably in Ontario. If my son is not austic, the problem might not be as great as what I am facing. We as his parents are living and working in Hong Kong, we wonder if he can survive if we send him over to a boarding school and which boarding school has a more caring environment for his profile.

I cannot find another school for my son in Hong Kong because he speaks English only, if he is out of his present school which is under the English School Foundation System and has different curriculum from the local school, he has no place to go.

It seems to me he can hardly be motivated, and he is depressed. He has no friends and he spends all is waking hours in front of the computer chatting with someone who does not know. If I continue keeping him at home, it will not be to his advantage at all. He is a Canadian citizen,he will have to go back to Canada to live, so I think it will be better for him to continue his education there. THE PROBLEM IS CAN HE SURVIVE? please give me some advice.
