Honoree and Keynote Speaker, Dr. Gary Mesibov, Director of Division TEACCH, and Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Also featuring: Stephen Shore, diagnosed with "Atypical Development with strong autistic tendencies" Stephen Shore was viewed as "too sick" to be treated on an outpatient basis and recommended for institutionalization. Stephen is on his journey towards finishing his doctoral degree where he has chosen to focus on helping those with autism maximize their potential to lead fulfilling and productive lives… as well as Dr. Valerie Paradiz, a writer and the Director of Education at the Asperger Institute in New York University's Child Study Center. She is also a co-founder of the Open Center for Autism. Also featuring… Mary E. Van Bourgondien, PhD is the Clinical Director of the Raleigh, NC TEACCH Center. She is also the Founder and former Director of the Carolina Living and Learning Center, Division TEACCH’s integrated residential and vocational training program for adults with autism in Pittsboro, NC.

Registration fees: Early registration (before 10/1/07) for Professionals $135 and for Parents/full-time students $95. Regular registration (after 10/1/07) for Professionals - $150 and for Parents/Full-time Students $120.
