No offense, but the list of unimplemented features is laughable. I have no idea what possessed Galleon to release this demo before these FUNDAMENTAL features are implemented.
Anyway, those few code samples I tried ran rather sluggish and choppy, so in the sense of speed (both in compiling and execution) it's a worthless toy and a nuisance. Yes, I admit this can be only for now. But that’s why this should have been a non-public demo, because such crappy versions can only hurt the project.
For a common user the fact it compiles to C++ codes really means nothing, especially to those who want a 100 % exact QB copy, which I assume will be majority of QB64 users.
Anyway, I'm a programming laymen here, but heavy reliance on SDL is not a good start to make a multiplatform compiler.
In conclusion, I’m not touching QB64 until is see it finalized, and only probably just out of curiosity. I don’t need an exact QB copy, and nobody sane should.
