i don't even think locate even worked in 0.01

maybe they had to stop it before 0.11, because it had serious issues then if you wanted to use it on the entire screen. they got that working by 0.14 or 0.15.

also print wouldn't work with chr$(0) in the string, but we were supposed to use ncurses, right? or was there inline asm we could have used to locate in 0.01? galleon might not be adding c libs yet, but he's making the basic statements work, so we don't have to kludge everything. v1c never liked "inherent functions."
