also how well does wait &h3da, 8 work for this?

i used it to make certain that wait did anything useful yet, and it made the graphics pretty smooth (i know, it's waiting for/after retrace, somewhere around here they mention which is which.) but i wouldn't want to use that all the time, it would be way too slow.

just wondering if it's the kind of thing that would help keep the cpu below 100 when it's the desirable thing to use, like when you're trying to keep animation smooth, or would you still need the timer delay too?
