RE Corrupt download: roy too? That would be odd.

If there is only one download site then I doubt it is corrupted. I can't imagine it running to termination if it were a corrupt download. It should just fail to start, wouldn't you think?

Maybe later today or tomorrow I can try it on a different computer but this is the first time I have had a problem compiling with compile.bat in QB64.
