what are you talking about?

Galleon is talking about fixing whatever is keeping Pete and Roy from compiling. He isn't talking about adding unnecessary features.

>Too many people asking for too much extra stuff!

I haven't seen much of this.

>F the kids

Methinks "the kids" outnumber you here. And I'm not sure if everyone you call a "kid" is actually a "kid".

>make what you originally started!

Has he really deviated? He seems to be mostly on track. The only deviation that I recall is the audio stuff, but he wanted that as much as anyone else... He is entitled to momentarily deviate into something he wants once in a while.

>Those kids still listen to music from the 60's. So we as the "older" generation should continue to plod along.

I don't even understand what you are talking about. The one thing that jumps out at me is that you like to stereotype and make generalizations. That is evident in your other posts also.
Most of the music I listen to is not from the 60's. I like classical music, and some of that is hundreds of years old, but I don't listen to it much anymore. Other than that, most of the music I listen to is newer. Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne are old; I'm not sure when that started. Metallica goes back to the early 80s. Then there are more recent bands like Godsmack and Evanescence (IIRC, both started in the 90s). These bands/people continue to release new albums even now.

>So we as the "older" generation should continue to plod along.

What's your point?

>Take your time! I don't care about any new things! I just want QB to be alive on the new systems.

Not many people care what you think, Clippy.

The whole idea is to add new things anyway. QBASIC already works fine on any system that can run an emulator. The description for this forum is not correct. QBASIC already works fine on x64 Vista, if you have an emulator. The word "natively" should be inserted. Galleon has planned from the beginning adding NEW things, such as relaxed environment limits, which he is already benefiting from (with the self compiled version).

Regards,
Michael
