It's quite stable; ignore the version numbers.

Sure, there are eight open bug reports, but considering the hundreds that have been resolved, this is less than 3% unresolved:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=browse&group_id=122342&atid=693196&set=custom&_assigned_to=0&_status=2&_category=100&_group=100&order=artifact_id&sort=DESC&offset=300
(notice the offset = 300)

Some features are still being added, but if you don't use Constructors and related features, you don't have to wait anymore for features.
Sure, some code made for v.15 or earlier has been broken now, but code is not being broken anymore (mostly, at least; I can't remember my code being broken) since the compiler is more stable; it is not rapidly changing the syntax.

One evidence of its stability is the amount of code posted.
At least 30 programs / methods have been posted just this month in this one sub-forum:
http://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=7

Some QB compatibility is missing, but I doubt QB64 will ever add all this compatibility.
For example, ON KEY and ON TIMER go to a certain line number or label when triggered; how does QB64 plan to do this?
ON TIMER could easily work in a separate thread, but then how will it GOTO / GOSUB, as opposed to calling a certain SUB?

Once QB64 is somewhat complete, which will be in a very long time, problems like this will keep QB64 from being any more QB-like than FB.
So to wait for QB64 instead of FB is quite laughable, IMO - especially since Galleon will probably be tired of this in another year, and hasn't found anyone to keep the project going without him.

BTW, no one commented on my comic (or anything) in QB Express.

FWIW, I wasn't the first to mention the subject of FreeBasic. ;-)
