names are one thingby mennonite (no login)but concepts are another. myst and galleon and others including myself have been talking for a long time about what makes basic basic. to his credit, galleon really understands that. there might be times (this might be one of them) when i think myst understands it even next to galleon, but so far i think if people figure out how to make oop into something that does not go against the essence of qb, galleon will listen. we could be repetitive about this, and i'll email galleon if i think it's necessary, but i hope i've been clear on this. c++ would destroy the essence of qb, but oop != c++ and not something that people agree on. it's not all standard. there's room to show the world a basic way to do oop, one friendly to new programmers (and above all, not something you must use unless you want to!) and qb64 is the ultimate opportunity to make oop into basic. from IP address 85.195.123.22 |
