I personally haven't even touched QB64 on Linux yet, through WINE or otherwise. Also, WINE 1.0 will be most likely released soon (it is at RC3 as of 2008 May 30). Hopefully WINE will have better support. The reason I recommended Puppy Linux instead of DSL is because DSL isn't exactly cutting-edge, so it may not have the most up-to-date libraries and applications. Puppy Linux or Ubuntu should be able to do it (can qbguy confirm this on Ubuntu?), but I'm not holding my breath. Then again, I'm rather surprised QB64 even used to work with WINE. :P In any case, it would be a temporary solution for the Linux users here until a native version of QB64 for Linux can be worked on. ------------------ Waiting patiently for Windows 7, XHTML 2.0, CSS 3.0, PHP 6.0, the ratification of C++0x, and the day that I can code without logic troubles. from IP address 12.208.120.144 |
