Philosophy..............right up your alley Mr. ASCII

NO! The original philosophy was to create a version of QB for 64 bit machines as closely as possible!

Galleon has decided to add some extra stuff and things like SCREENs do need to be addressed.

But QBguy just continually DEMANDS more and I am getting a little TIRED of it. There are many things that could be added as it is developed, but I think this kind of stuff is just FURTHER delaying the original idea. I don't even need QB64 yet and the XP extension to 2014 means that I will probably NEVER need it. I can make routines for bits, bytes and integer bits already. How many times is Octal necessary in a program? Never used it yet!

If QB64 is ever gonna take off, we don't need continual delays for the sake of a few people that want Linux and a bunch of other goodies! The same geeks can make their programs in other languages already. So how helpful is it for QB64 really?

Kids are learning NET now in school and will eventually just adapt to it. ADD enough stuff and it will become another FB that you will have to learn the hard way.  Worse yet, it could become another VBasic NET!

Your response is as philisophical as your "I think of ASCII as graphics" statement. WOW
