I was thinking like this:by (no login)Someone copies a .bas file to a diskette from an old computer, wanting to try it on qb64 on a new computer only to discover that qb64 can't read it, and if you want to copy a bunch of qb files that are in binary format the problem is increasingly obvious as you would have to open each one in qb and save them as plain text. You wouldn't know which ones are binary and which ones are plain text from only looking at the file in explorer so chances are that you have to examine each one. Of course qb64 should NEVER have the option to SAVE in binary format, but I don't think that it would be a bad idea if it could LOAD them. Of course we wouldn't have this problem if there was a converter out there, that could perhaps convert all .bas file in a given directory, that would be nice. |
