Hooray -- figured it out at last...

Tried _SNDOPEN with VOL in Kong and it worked perfectly. Then it dawned on me that perhaps I had used "SYNC, VOL" (a space after the comma). I tried it that way and got the error message. Whew! Worth clarifying in the readme -- I'm so used to word-comma-space-word.

I'm relieved to have discovered it, since .WAV files have all the other capabilities I need.
