Response to My Web Page Pertaining To The Sabbath

OK, I wasn't referring to the 7th day Sabbath, or Saturday. No, a Saturday Sabbath isn't mandatory for salvation of Christians. I misunderstood.

I'm referring to a more general idea that Christians need to keep "a" day holy, Sunday if possible but at least one day during the week. This is necessary because, as it says in Ex 31:12-17, this holy day is a token of the relationship between God and Man, that it is God who makes us holy, and that it was God who made the world. And, I believe, it is necessary for us to gather together for worship on that day so that we can be faithfully taught by the Church and may help sustain one another. I don't know that this is a condition for salvation, but given our rebellious human nature it does seem pretty necessary unless it's impossible.

Your final paragraph says we may have Sabbath on any day of our choosing. My own belief is that it should be Sunday unless impossible for good reason, or if for some reason everybody else meets on a different day. Sunday, because that's the day the Church has set for the Sabbath and we need to be obedient.

Do you know why we should hope that Judgement Day doesn't come on the Sabbath?????
