"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3).

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving" (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV).

All that we as Christians do, should be done as though it were being done for the Lord. This includes our secular employment. We should give our work our very best effort and not be lazy or do the job in a slothful fashion for even though we may be employed by men, we are actually working for God, and our attitude on the job is a witness for Christ, whether it be a good witness or a bad witness.

Rev. Jack Howell
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
