"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3).

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him" (John 3:36 NIV)

Contrary to what some claim, salvation is not given automatically to all mankind, nor is it the result of a mere intellectual affirmation of the existence of Jesus Christ, or from any good works that we may do. The word "believe" denotes the action of "exercising faith" in Jesus Christ. Thus, those who are placing their faith in Jesus as their Savior and Lord of their life possess eternal life, and those who reject Him have nothing to look forward to but the wrath of God (Matt. 25:41; 2Thess. 1:6-9; Rev. 20:11-15).

Rev. Jack Howell
"Some bring God's curse on them by marking off part of the Bible, calling it erroneous, uninspired, less than the very Word of God." - Dr. John R. Rice

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
