"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3).

"For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18 NASB)

The "word of the cross" is God's total revelation, that is, the Gospel in all its fullness, centering on the incarnation of (God being born as a man) and crucifixion of Christ for the redemption of sinners. To the unsaved who are perishing by their rejection of Christ, the Gospel message is foolishness (Greek: moronic) to them, hence their ridicule and mockery of the Gospel and those who proclaim it. However, to those of us who have repented and come to Christ, it is the power of God enabling us to be saved. Are you saved today? Do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord of your life?

Rev. Jack Howell
"Some bring God's curse on them by marking off part of the Bible, calling it erroneous, uninspired, less than the very Word of God." - Dr. John R. Rice

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
