"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3).

Obedience of Mary and Joseph

Response to Verse of The Day For Wednesday, December 17, 2008

Think what would have hapened (or, rather, NOT happened) if either Mary or Joseph had been disobedient! God's plan provided two very good chances for the derailment of Salvation, if either had followed their Law as they were supposed to do.

And the benefit:
"And you, who were dead in trespasses
and the uncircumcision of your flesh,
God made alive together with Him, having forgiven us
all our trespasses, having canceled the bond
which stood against us with its legal demands;
this He set aside, nailing it to the cross."
                                 (Colossians 2: 13-14)

I don't avoid temptation any more. At my age, it avoids me.
