"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3).

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me" (John 14:1 NIV).

Here Jesus asserts His equality with God the Father by encouraging those who were listening to Him to not only trust in God the Father, but in Him as well. Since He is Deity in human form, it was right and proper for Him to encourage them to trust in Him. If Jesus were less than God, then this would have amounted to blasphemy and idolatry, but many times Jesus asserted His Deity, and this fact the Jews were clearly aware for they accused Him of blasphemy for equating Himself with God.

Rev. Jack Howell
"Some bring God's curse on them by marking off part of the Bible, calling it erroneous, uninspired, less than the very Word of God." - Dr. John R. Rice

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
