"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3).

Yesterday morning, while at work at the secular job, I received an emergency phone call from my mother, needing me to come home because "dad wasn't right." I got to the house, and discovered that was displaying symptoms of a stroke with his right side paralyzed. Since he refused to go to the emergency room by ambulance, I got him into the car and we went to the emergency room where initial tests could not find anything wrong, and he was slowly regaining use of his right arm and leg. They admitted him for an overnight stay for observation, and may or may not be released today. Please keep him in your prayers. Needless to say, I won't be going in to the secular job today.

"Some bring God's curse on them by marking off part of the Bible, calling it erroneous, uninspired, less than the very Word of God." - Dr. John R. Rice

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
