Been there, and almost did that. The Episcopal Church was my "shepherd" then, and began teaching me all those things you mentioned. My "shepherd" tried to lead me OUT of the corral and tried to leave me there among the wolves. My only defense was that I realised what my "shepherd" was teaching me didn't accord with what I read in scripture. But my "shepherd" said scripture is wrong.
When your "shepherd" begins claiming that scripture is wrong... GET OUT OF THERE!!!
