Verse of The Day For Wednesday, April 1, 2009

"You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:26 NIV).

Paul is addressing CHRISTIANS in this epistle to the church at Galatia, reminding them that thye are sons of God because of their faith in Jesus Christ. While it can be said that God is the Father of all people in a generalized sense due to having created them (Acts 17:24-26), ONLY those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ are His true spiritual children, whereas unbelievers are the children of satan (Matthew 13:38; John 8:38, 41, 44; Acts 13:10; 1 John 3:10; and compare with Ephesians 2:3; 1 John 5:19) Whose child are you? Are you a child of God by trusting in Jesus Christ, or are you a child of satan because of your unbelief? There is no middle ground here. You are either a child of one or the other.
