"Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 NIV).
The Gospel message hinges on the resurrection of Christ. Without the resurrection there could be no Gospel message and our faith in Christ would be in vain. But thank God Christ DID rise from the dead on the third day just as prophesied that He would, and because of, our faith in Him is well placed, and certainly not in vain!

"Some bring God's curse on them by marking off part of the Bible, calling it erroneous, uninspired, less than the very Word of God." - Dr. John R. Rice
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
