"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3).

"I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth" (Job 19:25 NIV).

Job expresses his faith in God as his redeemer and vindicator in spite of all that he had gone through. Satan had accused Job of worshiping God only because of the blessings God had bestowed upon him, but satan's accusation was proven to be false. Sadly, there are those today that if satan were to bring this charge against them, he would be proven right, for there are what we term "fair weather Christians" who serve God when things are going right and they are being blessed, but the moment things get tough, they turn away from Him. We need to be "all-weather Christians" weathering the storms of life like Job did, continuing to serve God no matter what may come our way. I am reminded of a hymn entitled "Through It All:"

I've Had Many Tears And Sorrows,
I've Had Questions For Tomorrow,
there's Been Times I Didn't Know Right From Wrong.
but In Every Situation,
god Gave Me Blessed Consolation,
that My Trials Come To Only Make Me Strong.

chorus:
through It All,
through It All,
I've Learned To Trust In Jesus,
I've Learned To Trust In God.

through It All,
through It All,
I've Learned To Depend Upon His Word.

verse 2:
I've Been To Lots Of Places,
I've Seen A Lot Of Faces,
there's Been Times I Felt So All Alone.
but In My Lonely Hours,
yes, Those Precious Lonely Hours,
Jesus Lets Me Know That I Was His Own

chorus

verse 3:
I Thank God For The Mountains,
and I Thank Him For The Valleys,
I Thank Him For The Storms He Brought Me Through.
for If I'd Never Had A Problem,
I Wouldn't Know God Could Solve Them,
I'd Never Know What Faith In God Could Do.

"Some bring God's curse on them by marking off part of the Bible, calling it erroneous, uninspired, less than the very Word of God." - Dr. John R. Rice

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
