"who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body" (Philippians 3:21 NIV).
Yesterday we looked at Philippians 3:20 and saw that we, as Christians are citizens of Heaven and as such, we look forward to the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In verse 21 we see that upon His return for us, our bodies of flesh will be transformed into glorified spiritual bodies like that of Jesus when He arose from the dead and ascended into Heaven (1 Corinthians 15:51-53). It is necessary that our bodies be changed because these bodies of flesh have been tainted with sin, and God cannot allow sin in His presence, hence flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50). Imagine that! A Believer who has a cancer-ridden body will have a brand new glorified body! These bodies will have no imperfections or disease at all. Death and old age will not be able to claim these bodies, either! I dont know about anyone else, but I look forward to that trumpet call signaling our Lords return for His Church, and I dont want to be found ashamed at His coming.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
