"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things" (Colossians 3:2 NIV).
As Christians, our very disposition should be on the things of heaven, and this can only come by understanding heavenly realities from God's inspired, written Word (see Matthew 6:33; Romans 8:5; 12:2; Philippians 1:23; 4:8; 1 John 2:15-17). We need to remember that this world is not our home!
This World Is Not My Home
by Albert E. Brumley, copyright 1952 by Acclaim Music
This world is not my home I'm just a passing through
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me from heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore
Oh Lord you know I have no friend like you
If heaven's not my home then Lord what will I do
The angels beckon me from heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.Pastor Jack Howell
"Some bring God's curse on them by marking off part of the Bible, calling it erroneous, uninspired, less than the very Word of God." - Dr. John R. Rice
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
