So simple!

First you cut out 8 -6 inch squares from Christmasy material. Also your going to have to cut out a star templet. I just drew a big star on a piece of paper and cut it out.

Sew two squares together. Press open the seams. Repeat 4 times.

Sew  4 squares together ... press open the seams. Repeat with the other 4 squares.

Pin your templet on your joined squares and cut out your star.

With right sides together sew along the star edge, leaving an opening to turn your star right side out.

Turn your star right side out and stuff. Use a pencil if you have to get in the points of the star.

Sew closed the opening and poke a ornament hanger through the tip of the fabric on one point of the star and .. then you are finished! Go hang it on the tree!

sounds pretty simple, do you have a seam allowance? like does it matter what the inch is on the seam?

It doesn't matter

as long as you use a consistent seam allowance throughout. A lot of people use the foot on their sewing machine as a guide for 1/4" seam but this can vary from machine to machine (just under or just over - mine is over). As long as you use the same machine and guide throughout it won't create any problems at all.

Great work, Daisy.

'Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfailing beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.' 1 Peter 3:3-4
