6. Once you are satisfied with how your pants are laying on the front and the back, start from the front and insert the pant leg that you have cut off into the open area of the skirt. If you must use the seam of the pant leg, like I had too, be sure to make sure the leg seam is right in the middle of the opening. * Please note, that if you want a long skirt, you will have to use a piece of fabric of your choice as the pant leg will not be long enough to fill the triangle. I am 5'5" tall and I'm able to make a skirt with the pant leg long enough to cover my knees.

7. Pin. Don't spare on the pins!

8. Sew the longest seam first. Sew as close to the edge as possible. Then make another row of stitching right beside it about 1/4 of an inch away. Repeat on the other side of the triangle.

9. Repeat on the back of the skirt. Carefully fold your seam down and pin. Do not spare on the pins. You'll need them.

10. Sew. Again start sewing on the longest seam first as close to the edge as possible. Sew another row of stitches 1/4 of an ince away from the first seam. Repeat on the other side of the triangle.

13. Hem up your skirt to match the leg hem.
