They should get Jeff Hanne and Jim Worstenholm, these two had a good season as there first time coaching at the varsity level and are getting the boot. They should bring them in. |

Let's be nice. Lewinsky is not a fag. FZW is a good club and deserves better coaches. Coaches that can take this young team, harness their skill, build team spirit and move forward. What people don't see is that this program was LONG TIME COMMIN. Lewinski had nothing to do with the current sucess, he just jumed in the drvers seat, TRENCH COAT AND ALL. HIS ASSISTENTS ESPESIALY THAT little one ARE NOT ANY HELP. |

FHC released Worstenholm and Hanne, word on the street is that several clubs both Mid States and Central States are interested in acquiring these guys. FZW better act quick if they hope to win this lottery.
Have known both of these coaches a long time and it is confusing why FHC would not wish to keep them. I am sure they will continue their success in the next position they take.
FZW if you are making a change this season, not thinking you should, but if you do these two should be high on your priority list. |

Trust me, good coaches are not going to be breaking down the doors to come to FZW. There are some more respectable schools which are less high maintenance with openings for coaches. FZW will get the leftovers. No matter who they get, they will probably want a new coach again this time next year. |

Mark Davis get a hold of your club or resign!!!!! You have already been through 3 coaching staffs in 4 years. If you can’t run an organization find someone who can. Till you get an involved board and the backing of the club (not just support at elections) FZW will continue to have complainers and no cohesiveness. Your players lacked heart and were not a TEAM because their ""paying parents"" did’nt tell their players to buck up and shut up! Get a hold of your organization.... Sell your chosen management and get on with it. I've been with this club for to long to see it run into the ground AGAIN !!!!!! |

4:50 AM - I am a board member at another club, and I think your post should serve as your nomination to the board. There are a limited number of parents willing to do any of the work or even serve on the board, and an abundance of those who want to complain about how the club is run. Go volunteer and help "fix" things. It will certainly be more productive than posting on here and calling out another volunteer. |

| Re: FZW problems start with the Board | February 25 2008, 4:00 PM |
The biggest problem of the FZWHC's bench is a head coach that leads to stroke his ego not for the development of a team. Problem being stated... in looking back at some of the previous comments, it’s true that Lewinski has lucked into the talent of this club. It's been a long hard recruiting effort to get players that live in the FZW district to come play for our club.. (little to none of the efforts is due to Lewinski or any of his staff) Look at the players currently on his top two lines that were not here two years ago... not to mention last year. On this point job well done to previous coaching staffs and club members for their tireless efforts in staying in touch with these players and convincing them to try the FZWHC program.
Current issue a young somewhat inexperienced coaching staff that coaches from, ego not the team. One doesn’t have to look back to far in FZW's record this year and notice games with commanding leads and two lines are continually skated... to what end... pad stats maybe??? Those were the type of games when you skate your 3 and 4 lines to develop TEAM. This type of coaching works well when you play teams you overmatch. How deep in the playoffs will this type of philosophy take you when you have skated your 2 lines to the point of exhaustion and you need your 3 and 4 lines?
What is even more disheartening is when the coaching staff in team meetings even admits to the club they are at a loss for ideas on developing a team attitude. (and this was in the past 2 weeks) When you coach for (to) the elite players you lose the heart and soul of your club. These are not paid professional they are student athletes.... but Lewinski has always preached that lessons learned here will serve our player in later years... but what lessons is he teaching???
Am I advocating a change????? YES. In staff maybe... in philosophy definitely!!! As I stated earlier Lewinski and his staff are not deep in years of coaching.... It is my sincerest hopes that Lewinski and his staff take a long look at club issues and learns something too in the off season.....

this is a posting from another thread but i like its relevance to FZW.
It is all about good coaching, strong program and some talent. Behan won for a public school a few times and they were always a strong school. He had some talent and he was a very good coach. Demanded a lot of respect, and dedication to the high school team. What the metro schools all have. Respect, strong coaching year after year and the demand of dedication. Then a little talent and they go far.
please we need some....................... |

Every thing you said about Jack and PS are true. He is a hell of a coach and did a great job. But Jack had two Div 1 out skaters, and the best goalie in town, and a decent supporting cast. Jack could not, nor any of the metro coahces go to a school with limited talent, like GC or NW or many others, and come close to winning a title because of their discipline and knowledge. They might be able to make them as good as they could be, but not contenders. |

I have a few questions for you Lewinski haters. How much did Lewinski get paid last year to coach your little darling? How many coaches better than Lewinski do you think will be pounding at your door to coach for nothing? Wake up and smell the coffee! I want to hear names of some of these great coaches who would be willing to sacrifice an enormous amount of their time for nothing and put up with all the BS some of you parents dish out. Can't think of any can you? I am no Lewinski fan and have never met the man but I think it is very unfair of you people to trash him and act like he could easily be replaced by a much better coach. If that's true than I want to hear some names. |

| Another blast from the past | February 26 2008, 2:30 PM |
When a club considers changing coaching staffs, there must be a good reason. FZW is a good team and every one should respect that. Teams have a way to mature in time. Programs develope and become more attractive for more talented players. To say Lewinsky is the reasone for FZW current success is a joke. He is a coach that will jump from team to team if he thinks there is up-comming talent in that program. SCW to FZW example! Lewinsky will play two lines and do anything to feed is ego at any cost! No comparison can be made from 2 years ago to the current team, almost the whole team are new players. DO NOT THINK FOR ONE SECOND THAT FZW SUCCESS IS DUE TO LEWINSKI AND STAFF, CREDIT THE BOYS. |

| A Change in Coaching NOT a change in coach. | February 27 2008, 1:29 AM |
. Some of these posting reflect an advocacy of a change in coaching... not a change of coach. I seriously doubt all the negative postings come from one club member. So assuming an 18 squad varsity program if there are 4 or 5 parents, and then some players too... That’s a substantial amount of discouraged club members. I know the amount of time a coach puts into his position is substantial, BUT the head coach of a high school sports program no doubt has its own intrinsic value!! For Shaun's longevity at FZW, Shaun and staff needs to reflect on some of these comments.. and address them to the club proactively. The FZW hockey program needs a TEAM BUILDER |

I am a member of this club and have a son who plays on the team; and I'm not worried about posting my name. I feel everyone of us as members of this club have an opinion, and a right to state our opinions and concerns. We have a board, and a system in place to address our club member concerns. Again, I respect your right to have your concerns addressed and effectively "handled". However, as a member of this club I would respectfully ask that any of our members who may be posting on this site; please stop. I feel posting here serves no purpose other than making us look extremely foolish. Please stop! I have always felt if I had an issue I could express it to the coaches or the board; and I have in the past. We are a good club with many good people, let's not "air our dirty laundry in public".
Thanks, John |

Yes, I wrote the change in coaching not a change of coach thread. Open constructive debate is ALWAYS good. Some of the comments are a little blue but even so they reflect a deeper underlying problem. I hope the FZW Board / coaching staff takes a proactive stance to these posting. But either way there will be a reckoning of sorts to these issues... The issue many people have with Lewinski is that he has an attatude. He feels that his final say is it and when asked for an explenation he is put out.A coach that shoes favoritism to some WITH DISSREGARDS TO OTHERS. We pay the same amount as others so we are not second class....................... |

Bottom line is that Lewinski is not as good as he thinks he is, or Davis thinks he is. Davis passed on a proven winner as a coach a couple years ago, ask him and he'll tell you who that was and what he accomplished as a coach.
It sure would be nice if FZW won a division title, much less 3 in 5 years! |

Dave Goettle, what another problem. The club had a brain fart to bring him and Steave Carrie. The coach the above is reffering to is Len Caudou, now that is a GREAT coach. Mark Davies wouldn't know a good coach if he bit him in the ass.
Len is a man that coaches with heart and experence, start the proper steps to get him if you want this young talented team to go to the finals next year. |
