Felt really bad for the CCP goalie. You have a backup and after goal 3 it was looking like game, set, match. You're in teh final game of the season so why not try the backup and see if the team would wake up in front of him. Goaltending was not the biggest issue. CCP came out with a spark in the first but once they saw that trying to put together even a little forcheck netted them nothing they backed off. Any puck that went in deep in the CBC end came out virtually uncontested by a CCP forward. On the other hand pucks that got in deep in the CCP d-zone were weakly shot up the boards for a give away or crashed on by two CBC forwards supporting each other. That explains the huge shot total that CBC racked up. Over time, perhaps the CCP team can watch some of this game and learn from it. Bad penalties aside, it was just two and a half periods of poorly executed hockey from a team that can play better. |

8:49 you called it pretty close. Goalie was shakey, seemed to not see a lot of shots and went down on most shots, but not all goalies fault, forwards played a one dimensional game, no backchecking, really hardly any checking at all. Bad penalties killed em. Cant let CB have a power play advantage. |

Goaltending was CCP's Achilles Heel all year. In fact, CBC's and CCP's goaltending was weakest in the Metro. They just had so much talent, it never got exposed. They saw less than 20 shots on average every game and always had a lead. |

I am probably alone but I saw the CCP backup last year and thought he was pretty good. Might have been nice to give him some time in the game once it was out of reach. |

ccp coaches did not have the team prepared to play |

Doesn't look like CCP coaches do any coaching at all. Maybe they should learn the definition of the word, DISCIPLINE. |

It is just High School Hockey. The game was controlled by CBC once again however the CCP goalie just doesn't play that well. I mean when you give a goal up while protecting the post and someone smacks it in!!!!!!! CCP finally came out to play in the 3rd. One goal was disallowed however that would not turn the game around. By the way the goal was good no one was in the crease. I am a CCP fan but the better team won once again. I guess you could say better luck next year. CBC will become weaker so anything can happen even the Public School teams have a chance.
Good Luck.

You did not understand the call. Ref called the violation before the shot. He immediately pointed out of the zone for the face off.
The player was in the crease, in front of the goalie when CCP had possession of the puck. You do not need a shot to have a crease violation.
The announcer had it wrong until he saw the replay. One of his many examples of not knowing the rules.
They should have had a ref as part of the broadcast team so this guy would not have sounded so uninformed.
What was with his comment on the ref blowing the whistle and pointing at the net to signal a goal. How many games has he been to?

They will not be weeker. They had two aaa freshman that couldnt break the line up. The really only lose Carey and maybe a couple of others. They will be even better next year. Their JV team could have beat most of all of Mid States Varsity teams. |

That's beautiful.
Another competitive and thrilling year for Mid States.
I love these cliff hanger and nail biters. They keep me on the edge of my seat.

limit the number of "ELITE" players (AAA, Jr A) on any private school roster and the playing field will be leveled. Those left over AAA and Jr A players would either have to quit their elite team to play for their private school or they could go into the pool. Or, they could attend the public school where they live but we know that won't happen because the are going to CBC for the Catholic education. Even though many of them are not Catholic. |

For the last time jackass, it's Jr A. The whole league moved up to Jr A. tier III, hence the name Jr A. |

You didn't get cut because you didn't try out. Not even good enough to get invited to try outs, man that's gotta sting. |
