| - Hey does anyone know what league the Illinois Jr. Frontenacs will be playing in? I'm thinking that it's gonna be low tier Jr. B or Jr. C.... anyone know? |

Tier III Junior A, Playing out of Fairview, will be in the Great Lakes League and will have the same coach as the former Lightning out of Wentzville. |

**NEW JUNIOR LEAGUE TO BEGIN 2008-9 SEASON**
On Saturday Jan 12, 2008 at the mid-winter meeting of USA HOCKEY the Junior Council approved and cetified the GREAT LAKES JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE
to begin operations for the 2008-9 season. This league is a development league which will develop and train players to move to the next level. The Great Lakes Junior Hockey League already has 2-Teams in Detroit, Danville Illinois and Chicago Illinois. They are currently having talks with 4 other locations to enter into the league this May

That Great Lakes league is now defunct. It was operational during the 70's or 80's. |

I'm hoping you're being sarcastic. Haywood ran that program right into the ground. They had some decent younger players but Haywood did nothing to help them out. Plus, while failing miserably with the Lighting, I've heard he more or less forgot his team at Eureka even existed. |
