| I know there is a State Wars for roller hockey, but I heard from a few different people that there will be a State Wars for ice hockey in the coming future? Is this true? |

| Re: State Wars | May 19 2008, 2:22 PM |
how many hall of fame players are there in ice that are their just for their hitting. Almost all were dancers. Gretzky Ferderko Lemieux.
Those that will be in soon like Yzerman Hull Sakic Forsberg(when they retire) They woule of been perfect for roller..
So where does hitting get you little ice and a splinter in your ass. |

| Re: State Wars | May 19 2008, 2:25 PM |

| Re: State Wars | May 19 2008, 7:39 PM |
Thats not a very good point to prove... your basically defending roller hockey over ice hockey... All I need to say is one thing, NHL. Whats the professional roller league for roller? PIHA or something? How are their playoffs going right now? Since your probably a roller fag who follows that stuff. |

Yo May 19 2008, 7:39 PM, the PIHA "roller fags" are getting more exposure than you are while you sit on the N54 fourms making a fool out of yourself and trying to live the dream. Sure there is the NHL, but how many people watch the NHL, o wait....the NBA and NHL switch off an on for the two least watch sports in the US. The fucking MLS has more fans than the NHL. |

| Re: State Wars | May 20 2008, 5:05 PM |
Ok... what does the MLS have to do with hockey? The NBA? Again, what does that have to do with hockey? If your trying to say that the MLS is bigger, your correct. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world mainly because poor kids in Mexico or other countries like that have nothing better to do. Hockey cost money. Soccer doesn't, nor does the MLB, or NBA. It just bothers me when people don't know what they are talking about. |

you should read your own threads here. what are you talking about roller cost money also maybe not as much as ice but that your fault for paying it. |

| Re: State Wars | May 20 2008, 8:12 PM |
I guess you can say PIHA is growing, but it will never be as popular as the RHI, and the RHI wasnt even 1/10th as big as the NHL back then. |

| Re: State Wars | May 20 2008, 11:56 PM |
Ok this debate can go on and on. The point here is, you can't even compare the overall ability of the players in the two sports. That's right, I called roller hockey a sport. I played it for a good 10 years myself and I know you can't compare it to ice hockey.
Roller Hockey is good for individual skill development, where ice hockey is much more of a team sport. But, if you remember the RHI, the best players in that league were former NHL players who could no longer cut it in the NHL. So, they played RHI and were dominate.
Another reason you can't compare the two. Take the best 10 players in whatever professional roller league there is now and put them up against the best 10 players in the NHL, in a roller hockey best out of 7 games. Who do you think will win? Yeah....that's what I thought. |

| Re: State Wars | May 22 2008, 11:11 AM |
So when you said "Yeah, thats what I thought", you mean to say that roller hockey would win? I hope thats not what your saying. If you say that, lets take Ovechkin, Crosby, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Malkin, Kovalev, Kovalchuk, and just throw in a few other players who are dominating the NHL today. Im sure every single one of those guys have played roller hockey before, and 'know the ropes' of playing the game. Now, I still hope you think that the 10 NHL players would murder the 10 roller players. |

Ice would crush roller. In ice hockey and roller hockey. |

| Re: State Wars | May 22 2008, 8:09 PM |
May 22 2008, 11:11 AM---- NO!!! read the rest of my post. I am saying that while roller is good for skill development on an individual basis, the over all playing ability of the NHL players would dominate any roller hockey team you could possibly assemble. I don't know how anyone could argue against that. |

I just can't that this PIHA deal whenever they 'draft' kids still in high school. Shows how much in need they are of players. |

| Re: State Wars | May 23 2008, 12:32 PM |
PIHA has three levels A pro minor and AAA. the kids that were taken that are in highschool play minor (just a few) and AAA. In fact on the Snipers minor team that won the Championship the only high school kid was carlton, and he had the winning goal. Most players on the minor teams are 20 somethings. |
