I read where another poster mentioned the Winter Classic as a showcase for High School hockey in St Louis. Are you kidding me? If they wanted to showcase high school hockey they should do it at the new rink in St Peters or at the Family Center. The rink at Clayton is a joke. To small, poor places to watch a game from and the players have to dress in the attic and then trundle down the steps to get to the ice. If Mid States had a clue they would host a real event at a nicer rink in town. Trying to ride the coat tails of the NHL and playing an outdoor game is OK if you have an appropriate venue.

Maybe try doing some research prior to making your uninformed comments. There will be seating added for spectators, there will be dressing areas added for players. Unlike you, they have thought through these things and planned ahead of time, accommodations are being made. Sorry your team wasn't invited

Yeah you're right my bad I should have done my homework and researched that they would have extra stands and temporary locker rooms. You think that "additional seating" could have been ADVERTISED??? I finally saw a flyer at a rink this week listing the teams and ticket prices. You should not assume my team was not invited. I will give partial props to Mid States. Still a small crappy sheet of ice. Not a rink to showcase talent if that was the goal.
